Kalas – Single Cask 61,6% 50 cl.

This whisky is from the distillers private collection, in celebration of knud. Knud is his second grandchild named after the distillers own father.

The brewing process 4 years ago was made in collaboration with the fuglsang brewery in haderslev, destilleriet als only produced 6015 liter spirit in collaboration with fuglsang until they where acquired by royal unibrew. Royal unibrew chose not to continue smaller collabs, such as the one we had, which means that the 6015 liters is the only spirit that is produced in this collaboration.

Up until now  only one has been released, that was our first whiksy release, and this is the second release.

The whisky has rested on a small px sherry cask and is fully matured 48 months in this 50 liter barrel on the island of als.

It has been selected by our distiller, from his private collection.

The nose is intense, mouthfeel mellow and the finish brings forth a palette of classic sherry notes.

Add some drops of water and see how the oils releases from the spirit in the glass.
